Every emotion and idea can be said in art as it is an unlimited way of communicating”

Coming from a family where the arts were highly regarded, she benefited

CAMDEN ART SQUARE FEATURING JEWELS OF DISTINCTION DESIGNS
By:
Vicky Williams:
I am pleased to introduce samples from my Collections to Camden Art Square which feature bold colours and innovative designs using materials from around the world; most notably Africa, Asia & Mexico.
These regions inspire me to create pieces such as you will find within using rich earthy tones contrasted with bright vibrant colours such as sun burnt orange, copper and ochre.
Largely self taught, my fascination with jewellery spans over 10 years and I love creating pieces that are relevant today, but that also have a timeless appeal.
In addition to creating the designs found within, I run jewellery making workshops, provide a repairs service and also make to order, so please visit www.jewelsofdistinction.co.uk
or call 079 6992 0903 for more information.

Art Psychotherapy
Art Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses art media as its primary mode of communication.
Clients need not have previous experience or skill in art, and the art therapist is not primarily concerned with making an aesthetic or diagnostic assessment of the client's image. The overall aim of its practitioners is to enable a client to effect change and growth on a personal level through the use of art materials in a safe and facilitating environment. The relationship between the therapist and the client is of central importance, but art therapy differs from other psychological therapies in that it is a three way process between the client, the therapist and the image. Thus it offers the opportunity for expression and communication and can be particularly helpful to people who find it hard to express their thoughts and feelings verbally.
Introducing:
Gabrielle Hawkins
My
name is Gabrielle and I am an Artist and Art Psychotherapist. After
Graduating as an Art psychotherapist from UWE & Goldsmiths in 2001 I
worked at various Community Projects before working as a Therapist for
Bristol Priory for over 10 years. I moved to Camden from Bristol in
2011, and currently practice as a Substance Misuse Counsellor in a
Westminster Charity for Clients experiencing Addictions and Dual
Diagnosis. I am in the process of setting up my own Private Practice,
and am pleased to be able to use The Camden Square Art Gallery in which
to develop a service in which to supportive people wishing to explore
and develop their selves personally.
As
an Artist I trained as an Illustrator, and now tend to create personal
pieces of work. However I also like to Design Bespoke Leather Bags, of
which I plan to also exhibit at the Gallery.
